You can expect very uneven roads in the middle
of sugar cane fields leading to Rochester Falls. The
continuous flow of the water from the Savanne River from a height
of about 10m (33ft) has fashioned the basalt rocks into vertical
columns.
Many youngsters go at the top of the waterfalls and
wait for tourists to show up (to get some tips !!), before they
attempt their spectacular dives!
There is no entrance fee but the 'entertainers' expect
something in return for their 'show'.
Tip: please be careful with
your private belongings either with you or those in the car. Parking
is far upwards.
