Tamarin Bay
The Tamarin Bay has been popular once with the surfing where waves, high enough, came near to the shore. Today, due to the river mouth, the waves are too small to practise surfing, the only place in Mauritius.

Further down after the Tamarin Bay is the Martello Tower with a nice beach. The Martello towers are historic buildings during the British colony in the l8th century. One of the towers still exists and it is worth a visit.
